Welcome
The goal of the Soft Materials Workgroup is to bring together
researchers with an interest in molecular forces, biophysics, molecular electronics
and fluid dynamics to discuss their work and explore collaborations.
The 12th Southeast Meeting on Soft Materials will take place virtually on August 27 and 28, 2020 due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
At present, we organize two different initiatives:
The seminar series Colloid & Soft Matter Bag Lunches, organized by Professor Behrens, brings together once a month researchers from Georgia Tech and Emory to assist two seminars (one technical and the other one with state of the art research and open questions) presented by local speakers.
The workshop series Southeast Meeting on Soft Materials is held once a year, usually in the springtime. The 1st Southeast Meeting on Soft Materials, on May 9th 2008, had more than 100 participants from Georgia Tech and Emory, 45 short presentations, 3 invited speakers, and 1 keynote speaker.
